on the road

Now 1 week i'm travelling. More less 22h bus, 1050km done. Not really fast. I think I couldn't take a picture inside the bus, pity. it's something... interesting! More-less 50/60 seated places, and 100 people IN the bus. It's just people EVERYWHERE. Quiete funny, but not so easy with my backpack. Well, I survive :-)

So far, I travelled through Jaisalmer, Bikaner, Fatehpur/Mandawa/Nawalgarh (Shekhawati area), and now i'm in Pushkar.

Jaisalmer was nice, with a wonderful fortress, beautiful havelis, but many tourists (NO i'm not a tourist... i'm a traveller :-P)

Bikaner was really interesting. Nice havelis in the old town, few temples, a spicy market, a camel farm where i saw a 3 days baby camel.
AND a surpising rat temple! Not exactly at Bikaner, 31km away at Deshnoke. Here in India, rats are sacred, so they have their own temple. More-less 1000 rats live here. And I saw a white mouse, it means luck for me. Will see...

Then I wanted to go to SHEKWHATI to see wonderful havelis. So I took one bus to Fatehpur, but the bus didn't go to Fatehpur (is it luck?). so I stopped I don't know where to take another bus. Finally arrived in Fatehpur, I visited and took one more bus to Mandawa. it was a busy & tiring day. I slept a lot that night.
Monday i visited Dunlod, Nawalgarh and Mandawa with a young guide. Some havelis are wonderful with renoved painting. But some of them are abandoned and fall down, pity.

Tuesday was a travelled day as well. Mandawa to Jaipur (4h bus), then Jaipur to Pushkar (3h30). I'm staying there few days to visit this town and Ajmer, 12km away.
Pushkar is a holy town, consacred at Brahma, one of the hindi god. and ajmer is a muslim town with apparently a very nice mosquee.

(...but many tourists)
